MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

At the intersection of wilderness self‑reliance and modern emergency medicine, our team brings nationally and state‑certified paramedic expertise to the backcountry community. With decades of combined experience in prehospital care, we specialize in translating Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) principles into practical, field‑ready skills for hunters, woodsmen, and anyone who ventures beyond the pavement.

We teach in an engaging seminar‑style format that blends clear, accessible lecture with hands‑on, scenario‑based training. Our goal is simple: empower you to recognize life‑threatening injuries, stabilize them immediately, and manage yourself or your partner until help arrives — even when “help” is hours away.

Our instruction goes far beyond memorizing steps. We break down the why behind trauma care by teaching the underlying pathophysiology — what actually happens inside the body during injury, shock, bleeding, or environmental stress. When you understand the mechanisms, you make better decisions under pressure.

Whether you’re deep in the woods, miles up a trail, or on a remote hunt, you deserve the confidence to act decisively when the unexpected happens. We’re here to give you the knowledge, skills, and mindset to do exactly that.
